Ambassador, Coordinator for Eastern Europe in the Slovak OSCE Chairmanship Task Force, Ministry for Foreign and European Affairs of Slovak Republic
Lubomir is co-ordinating the Slovak OSCE Chairmanship efforts in the Eastern Europe, with a special attention to dealing with the crisis in and around Ukraine. He is an experienced career diplomat with in-depth knowledge of the country. Starting from 2014 until this year, Lubomir has been following the developments in Ukraine as a member of Donetsk and later Odesa teams of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission. Before that, in 2008 – 2012 in the capacity of the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine, he worked to help Ukraine strengthen its democratic and human rights institutions in line with the country’s international commitments. He also headed OSCE ODIHR Election Observation Mission to asses Ukraine’s parliamentary elections in 2006.
